About the Lower Room

Established in 1990

Mission: The mission of the Lower Room is based on Matthew 25:36-40:

“I was naked and you clothes me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

For more than 20 years the Lower Room has been a place where people of all races, ethnic groups, and religions are welcome to come and receive clothing and baby equipment for their family. Our goal is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by meeting people’s physical needs.

·        Clothing is in excellent condition

·        Clients are outfitted for the entire season, and are welcome to return each season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)

·        Clothing is free of charge to those in need (a small donation when outfitted for the entire season)

·        Donations of outgrown, unused or new baby, children teen and maternity clothing, as well as furniture and baby equipment are welcome.

·        Appointments are made by calling Margie at 282-9025

Margie says: Clients often ask “Why are you doing this?” I answer, “Jesus knew you were coming and He wants you to know how much He loves you.”

Lower Room Needs:

The demand for clothes is currently more than the supply. Which means Margie could really use your help.

How can you help?

·        Prayer: Please pray that God would continue to provide donations for the lower room so that Margie can continue to show the love of Jesus through this ministry.

·        Donations: More clothes are needed. Would you consider looking through your home to see if you have used clothing or baby equipment to donate?

Specifically the Lower Room is in need of the following sizes:

Girls: size 3, 4, 5

Boys: size 4, 5, 6, 7. 8

·        Some specific needs: jeans and stretch pants, long and short sleeve shirts, shoes that fit 4 and 5 year olds (all seasons), dress button down shirts for size 4/5 boys, dresses for size 5 girls

However, the Lower Room will take any and all donations.

Thank your consideration in helping out the Lower Room ministry!
